Scarfy The Penguin v2.0 - Release Notes
03/10/20

Special 'After Hours Jam Edition' release!
Completes and improves on the Jam build in more ways than you can shake a scarf at!

Oh Scarfy!

Another year, another migration for the penguin colony and poor Scarfy's been left behind again!
If only he wasn't so worried about getting his favorite scarf wet, he could just jump in the water and swim with the pack.
Instead it looks like he'll be taking the over land route again!

Help Scarfy get back to the colony in this fun filled retro 'mario-avania' adventure!

- Giant semi-open world with over 100 unique game screens to explore
- 8 different Scarf Powers to collect!
- 10 lost hatchlings to rescue!
- Collect dozens of yarn balls to expand Scarfy's life scarf!
- Retro graphics in the original Sega Master System palette!
- Original soundtrack by Naraku!

Created for the OpenGameArt.org Winter Game Jam 2020

This game was inspired by the game idea 'An animal simulation game' submitted by WorldLover.
I'm not sure if you'd call what came out an 'simulation' of any kind, but it was WorldLover's idea that got me thinking and started the creative juices flowing, so many thanks to WorldLover for sharing such a cool idea!

reminds me of my good ol' penguin games for the master system...

glad to hear it,  that's just what I was going for.  :)

Oh wow I just downloaded and was playing the After Hours Jame Edition. Such a simple yet adorable and fun game! This is totally everything I love about retro games and platformers in general!

Would love if you could give the option to donate money! I would totally give $5 for this!

Thanks!  It's very kind of you to offer moneys but in all honesty, just knowing you enjoyed the game and it put a smile on your face is plenty enough reward for me.

Awesome!  I really wanted the game to feel like the kind of game I'd waste a lazy Sunday afternoon playing on my real SMS as a kid (except maybe not as soul crushingly difficult ;)  So if I hit that note with you, I'm thrilled!  :)
